Who Am I ?

My Story

I’m Mr Harry — a musical multi-instrumentalist, producer, and creative force from Bury, North Manchester. I blend Neo-Soul, Hip-hop, Disco, Funk, Blues, and Reggae within the Nu-Soul/Hip-Hop sound, drawing inspiration from Tom Misch, Jordan Rakei, J-Dilla, Jimi Hendrix, and Quincy Jones. My tracks drift between 70s funk and modern R&B, sometimes veering into psychedelic rock or new-jazz territory — wherever the muse leads.

I play guitar, keys, bass, and Bansuri flute, and I sing, write, and experiment with sound design. Currently studying Jazz and Indian music, I bring depth and diversity to every project, rooted in years of exploring different musical traditions. After leaving school early at 15 on a scholarship to Manchester MIDI School, I’ve lived a life of creativity and adventure — volunteering in Nepal, studying Chinese medicine, biking solo across India, and even living with Buddhist monks.

Whilst staying at Samye Ling Tibetan Monastery in Scotland, I had the rare opportunity to interview Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche — one of the 300 who escaped Tibet alongside the Dalai Lama. During our conversation, he advised me to stay in the West and use my music to heal people. His words stayed with me for years and became a guiding light in my work. Since then, I’ve dedicated my life to that mission — not only releasing beautiful, soulful music but also helping others create the songs they dream of, unlocking their full potential. I do it for the love of music, and everything I create carries that soul within it.

Alongside music, I’m also an experienced videographer and storyteller. My love for film began young — by eight, I was directing classmates in the playground. At eighteen, that same restless drive led me to Nepal, where I began filming life’s raw moments, trading videos for food and shelter. Later, I crossed India on a motorbike with a camera in hand, documenting my journey in a self-made series, Master of Two Worlds. That gonzo-style creativity evolved into a career: I worked with The Natural Lifestyles, filming around the world as their channel grew from 50k to 500k+ subscribers. I later co-founded IdeaHamster, a social media agency creating viral campaigns and cinematic brand content, and most recently directed a Marks & Spencer sustainability campaign with Race Across the World winner Alfie Watts.

Now at 28, I run Saraswati Studios, my creative bunker in Budapest — part recording studio, part video lab, part dream factory. I produce music, videos, and live sessions, helping artists and brands express something real. Whether behind a camera or a mixing desk, my goal is the same: to capture the human spark.

With a family legacy in music — my stepfather, Graham Lord, is a Defected-signed producer (Audiowhores / Malachi) — and a lifelong devotion to learning, I’ve grown up in the rhythm of creation. I take pride in bringing out the best in others, creating relaxed, inspiring spaces where artists can shine. Between my skills in production, videography, and songwriting, I live and breathe the creative life — not just making content, but crafting culture.
